Life is a journey. We all have a start and an end date. What we do in between those two sacred points is what life is made up of. We all have a very special gift, the gift of infinite possibilities, as we are made up of both energy and matter. Keeping the balance between the two can sometimes prove to be a little challenging as none of us was born with a ´´How to Live Life´´ hand-book.
Already as a young child I was perpetually confused as to why nobody really ever talks about the things that are sacred and matter the most, such as how to effectively communicate, how to live in the present moment, how to commune with nature and the creative process, how to align with all the energies in and around us, how to remember who we are and why we are here, how to connect with Divine Consciousness and how to identify, express and share our thoughts and feelings. We seem to lack the blue print on how to be a human... unless of course... the blue print was intended to be an individual process we all wake up to on our own time...

Colors, stillness and contemplation have always been what helped me made sense of my inner and my outer world, even as a child. Knowing this about myself, I longed to chose a profession which would enable me to find and create meaning in both the ordinary and in the extra-ordinary. I also began to realize how ´´less difficult´´ life could be if we just had some knowledge and understanding as to how to live it. When I learned about art therapy and psychotherapy I intuitively knew this would be the begin my professional journey.
After obtaining my B.A. in Speech and Communication from San Francisco State University, San Francisco, CA, in 1996, I continued on to earn my M.A. degree in Clinical Art Therapy and Psychotherapy (with an emphasis in Systems Theories and Marriage, Family and Child Therapy) in 2001 from Loyola Marymount, Los Angeles, CA.
I am currently licensed in the state of California, USA (License Number LMFT 77568). For the past twenty-five years, I have worked in diverse mental health setting ranging from out-patient mental health clinics (including school-based therapy), to psychiatric and medical hospitals. I enjoy presenting on different mental health topics and have had diverse speaking engagements in Los Angeles and Monterey (CA). I have also had the honor to be a guest speaker, via Zoom, for ANDART (Andalusian Art Therapy) and facilitated art therapy exercises, for EFAT (European Federation of Art Therapy) presenting on Medical Art Therapy; for BAATCR- Creative Response, organized by the British Association of Art Therapists, presenting on ´´Tapestry of Comfort´´ (a unique approach to providing art therapy for bereavement and palliative care); and for Brunel University London for the Master’s Degree Program in Art Psychotherapy, presenting on ´´Art Therapy - Metaphor and Hope.´´
All throughout my life I have created art and have made the creative process and my connection to Divine Consciousness my priority. I have had the pleasure of travelling, exhibiting my art, and combining my passions into my profession. I am passionate about my life and my work and am endlessly committed to helping make this world a more compassionate place to live in.
I am licensed to provide psychotherapy as a Marriage, Family and Child Therapist in the state of California and am currently providing sessions via tele health. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions about how I work or if you would like to set up a free consultation to see if working together might be the right fit for you.
