My name is Amanda.
I write because I have to. I can not not write. There is so much to say and to share with the world.
Each thought, each word, is a portal through which endless possibilities exist.
It all begins with an intention, a thought and can end up in a beautiful reality.
I was born in multilingual Switzerland and into a multicultural family. When I was a teen, my family and I moved to California, USA. I eventually earned my BA in Speech and Communication and my MA in Clinical Art Therapy and Psychotherapy with an emphasis in Marriage, Child, and Family Therapy.
I enjoy traveling and exploring the world.
While working in diverse mental health settings, ranging from outpatient clinics to inpatient psychiatric and medical hospitals over the past 25 years, I have witnessed a lot of suffering as well as healing. Many have told me ´´Had I known this information and/or coping skill when I was a child, maybe my life would have been different!´´ Naturally, comments like this made me wonder why so many of us are lacking coping skills, and are therefore potentially missing out on living our best lives possible. Therefore, I have made it my mission to impart important life skills through the telling of children´s stories. It is my wish that we may all have the necessary tools available to us so as to live our most authentic, wondrous and memorable lives.
